Dr. Karim M. Hussain briefs MSN gathering on hypertension
Dr. Karim M. Hussain, a popular Cardiologist, was the chief guest at the bi-monthly gathering of the Muslim Support Network, held on Monday (Feb. 13) at the Senior Citizens Center, Fremont.
Dr. Hussein gave a lecture on hypertension. He explained the causes of hypertension and how it can be controlled. After his informative talk Dr. Karim answered questions of the gathering.
Zeby Mohsin, Vice President of the MSN thanked Dr. Karim for sparing some of his precious time to attend the MSN gathering. She said that one of the objectives of the MSN was to provide the seniors with information that is useful for them.
The MSN now holds gatherings on the second and fourth Mondays of every month to provide socializing opportunity to the seniors. The purpose is that the seniors could share their grief and joys with their friends and Monday’s gathering was its best example.
The gathering offered condolences to Ziaullah on the death of his younger brother in India. Hatem Rani led the prayer for the departed sole.
The gathering also joined Abdul Razzak Adenwala and his wife in the celebration of their 46th wedding anniversary with cutting a cake.
Another interesting feature of Monday’s gathering was handicraft competition. The MSN offered prizes for the best handicraft work.
